Abstract: This paper considers considers the problem of processing EEG, ECG, EOG and motion signals recorded from a newborn, for the purpose of detection of epileptic seizures. We describe the proposed approach, and discuss how the signals will be analysed and combined to detect the occurrence of seizure.
Description: This is an early paper that started the investigation into newborn EEG seizure detection. A software package that is used to represent and process newborn EEG signals by calculating IF estimates and TFDs can be downloaded from the web site: www.time-frequency.net
