dc.description This describes the use of a higher order version of the WVD for FM signals analysis and combining the properties of the WVD and HOS. (The most recent upgrade of the original software package that calculates Time-Frequency Distributions and Instantaneous Frequency estimators can be downloaded from the web site: www.time-frequency.net. This was the first software developed in the field, and it was first released publicly in 1987 at the 1st ISSPA conference held in Brisbane, Australia., and then continuously updated). en_US
dc.description.abstract The problem of analysing FM signals affected by white multiplicative noise was originally considered in [1]. In this paper we study a more realistic case of coloured multiplicative noise, and show how the degree of Doppler spread aflects the performance of the Wigner- Ville trispectrum versus the traditional method, such as the Wigner- Ville spectrum (WVS). en_US
