Time-frequency signal analysis (TFSA) has developed as a significant
field in the area of signal processing. It involves the representation and processing of
signals with time-varying spectral characteristics. This chapter presents fundamental
principles of TFSA and reviews the main contributions to the field, including the most
rece-nt advances, such as polynomial Wigner-Ville distributions (PWVD), the high
time-frequency resolution B-distribution, and the instantaneous frequency tracking
and estimation. |
