dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to compare between the performance of a sam¬ple of Mentally retarded children (N = 89, M IQ = 61.7), a sample of Educa¬tionally retarded (N= 30, M IQ = 98.9), a sample of above - average Intelli¬gence children (N= 15,M IQ 125), and a sample of slow learners (N = 54, M IQ 77), and comparing the performance (profile) of each group with the pro¬file of children with learning disabilities on the Tripartite classification of wise. Results of the study revealed a significant difference among the four groups on the subtests and the general Intelligence. The study also showed Difference between the performance of the four groups and that of the learning disabled children. It was concluded that the learning disabled children tend to perform in a distinguished was on WISC. It was also concluded that it might be possible to accept the hypothesis that elements included in the sequential category might play a crucial role in the learning problems for the learning disabled group.However, this does not simply means that other exeptional groups with learning problems do not suffer from such defecit in these areas. en_US
