Abstractهدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر عمل الأم وجنس الأبناء والتفاعل بينهما في مفهوم الذات لدى الأبناء في الصفوف الستة الأولى من المرحلة الأساسية. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (120) تلميذاً وتلميذة بينهم (60 من أبناء العاملات، و. 6 من أبناء غير العاملات) في الصفوف الستة الأولى من المرحلة الأساسية في مدارس اربد التابعة لوكالة الغوث. استخدمت في الدراسة قائمة مفهوم الذات تكونت من (112) فقرة موزعة على ثمانية أبعاد بالتساوي؟ بحيث يتضمن كل بعد 14 فقرة، وقد تحقق الباحثان من الصدق المنطقي لهذه القائمة عن طريق عرضها على مجموعة من المختصين، حيث أجمعوا على ملاءمتها لغايات الدراسة. كما تحقق الباحثان من ثبات القائمة عن طريق حساب معامل الاتساق الداخلي لها (كرونباخ ألفا) حيث بلغ للقائمة ككل (0.90) وكذلك بطريقة الإعادة بفارق زمني مقداره عشرة أيام حيث بلغ معامل الثبات 0.82 أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن الفروق الظاهرية بين المتوسطات الحسابية لأداءات أفراد عينة الدراسة على المقياس الكلي وعلى المقاييس الفرعية الثمانية لم تكن ذات دلالة إحصائية (α=0.05) بحيث تعزى الفروق إلى عمل الأم. كما بينت النتائج أيضاً أن الفروق الظاهرية بين المتوسطات الحسابية لأداءات أفراد عينة الدراسة على المقياس الكلي والمقاييس الفرعية (القيمة الاجتماعية، الاتجاه نحو الجماعة، الاتزان العاطفي، النشاط) ليست ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α=0.05)، بينما كانت الفروق الظاهرية بين أداءات أفراد عينة الدراسة على المقاييس الفرعية (الثقة بالنفس، القدرة العقلية ،الجسم والصحة، العدوانية) ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α=0.05)، ولصالح الإناث. كما بينت النتائج أيضاً عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لأداءات أفراد عينة الدراسة على المقياس الكلي والمقاييس الفرعية الثمانية بحيث تعزى لأثر التفاعل بين عمل الأم وجنس الأبناء.

Alternative AbstractThis study aimed at investigating the differeces in self - concept of employed and unemployed mothers' children in Jordan. The sample consisted of (120) students (60) employed - mothers' children, and (60) unemployed - mothers' children of the first six classes of the basic stage, in UNRW A Irbid schools. The tool was a self - concept questionnaire consisted of (112) items, along (8) dimensions. The overall reliability for this questionnaire using Combach Alpha was found to be (.90), and using test - retest was found to be (.82). The logical validity for this questionnaire was established on the basis of judgments by specialists in this filed. The results of this study were as follows : 1 - There were no significant differences among means of groups in the sample due to the effect of mothers work in all cases. 2 - There were no significant difference among means of groups in the sample due to the effect of children's sex in the cases of (overall self - concept, social value, attitude to group, emotion equilibrium, and activity). However, there were significant differences among means of groups in the sample due to the effect of children's sex in other 4 cases (self-trust, mental - ability, body - health, and aggression). 3 - There were no significant differences among means of groups in the sample due to the interaction between mother's work and children's sex in all cases. - There was no significant differences between levels in the left and the right hemisphere, but there was a significant difference between the first and the second level in the integrative style of learning and thinking. A. There was no significant difference between the first and the third level of science and art in the left and the right, but there was a significant difference between first and third level of science in the integrative style of learning and thinking. B. There was no significant difference between the first and the second level of science and art in the left and an integrative, but there was a significant difference between the first and the second level of art and between the second level of science and art. C. There was no significant difference between the high and low achievers in the right, but there was a significant difference between the high and low achievers in the left and an integrative style of learning and thinking.
