The aerial parts of Cressa cretica L. yielded five flavonoids that were identified as quercetin (1), quercetin-3-B-O-D-glucoside (2), kaempferol-3-O-B-D-glucoside (3), kaempferol-3-O-a-L-rhamno-(1—+6)- B-D-glucoside (a) and quercetin-3-O-o-L-rhamno-(1+ 6)- B-D-glucoside. (rutin) (5). A11 of the isolated flavonoids were identified by spectroscopic methods (UV, FAB-MS, 'H-NMR and "C-NMR). The isolated flavonoids except quercetin are reported here for the first time from Cressa cretica L. |
