The heat build-up inside of a vehicle cabin due to the direct composure of thermal energy when parked outside during the day can be a huge dilemma, the intensity of the problem can be decreased by covering the windows of the automobile, but drivers are reluctant to do it manually. There are several semi-automatic car sunshades available in the market but none of them provide a hard shield to protect the car from smashing the window. The aim of this project is to design, develop, and construct a smart autonomous automobile sunshade that not only prevents the thermal heat caused by the sun to penetrate the automobiles but also provides the vehicle with mild security. Adding the fact that this project contributes to the automobile industry applications and takes a step forward to autotomize yet another gadget used in our everyday life. This was done using an aluminum frame consisting of wheel sliders and aluminum composite material panels to cover the windows, and sensors to avoid a collision, this device was able to cover three sides of the automobile as 4 x 4 vehicles have accessories installed on the rear window to provide the boot with some extra strength. A test prototype has been constructed and the legitimacy of the mechanical design was tested. The design can be improved by using pneumatic pistons as a substitute for the linear actuators.
