Unveiling the All Together Better Health legacy and shaping the future of Interprofessional Practice

Abstract
All Together Better Health (ATBH) conferences emerged at a time when health and social care professionals, educators, researchers, and policymakers were recognizing the need for a global collaborative platform to address the education of health and social care professionals and the implications for the organization of health and social care services. The first ATBH conference was convened in London in 1997 under the auspices of the Journal of Interprofessional Care (Leathard, Citation1997). Over subsequent decades, ATBH has evolved from a pioneering conference to a globally recognized movement. These biennial conferences, held across diverse global regions (Table 1), have fostered a sustained sense of community among health professionals worldwide. In addition, they have facilitated the development of Interprofessional.Global, a confederation of 11 established regional networks and three emerging networks representing over 100 countries and organizations committed to interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP (www.interprofessional.global). As ATBH evolved, it incorporated themes related to the quality of health and social care, the service user’s voices, and the socio-ecological determinants of population health. The conferences have also seen an increasing diversity in attendees, including regulated health and social care professionals and other important contributors to the holistic nature of IPECP. ATBH continues to advance interprofessional education, foster research collaborations, and shape the delivery of health and social care. This editorial argues that the enduring relevance of ATBH lies not merely in its history, but in its capacity to continually reframe collaboration as both the moral imperative and the structural foundation of equitable health systems.
