Abstract
This chapter discusses the process and analysis of field interviews. We draw on the existing qualitative field research methods literature and our own experiences of the field to describe the processes of designing and conducting qualitative field interviews and to provide some guidelines on how to analyze field interview data. Specifically, we examine three main themes: the nature of qualitative field interviews, the processes of preparing and conducting field interviews, and analysing interview data.
