| Abstract | يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة إشكالية الترجمة والاختلاف الثقافي في الأدبيات العربية، وفحواها أنَّ الترجمة لا تقتصر على نقل المعارف والعلوم؛ بل تتعدّى ذلك إلى الانفتاح على المختلف بكل ما يتّصل به من أبنيةٍ: ثقافية وحضارية وسيميائية. وقد وظّفت منهجًا تحليليًا نقديًا في هذا البحث، فكانت أهمُّ الاستنتاجات طرحَ قضايا مثل: صلة الترجمة بهجرة النصوص بين الثقافات؛ رغم اختلاف اللغات، وبالآخر المختلف من جهة الهُوية، والتاريخ، وبالاختلاف باعتباره دليلًا على تباين المتخيّل الثقافي، والأنظمة الرمزيّة؛ ولكن للترجمة معايب تتجلّى في التحيُّز للثقافة، واللغة، والتاريخ، ورغبة الثقافة المهيمنة في إسكات الثقافات الخاضعة، والانحراف عن مقاصد الترجمة الجوهرية المتمثلة في التعرف إلى ثقافة الآخر، وفكره، والميل إلى تجذير الاختلاف؛ بدل استبعاده. |

| Alternative Abstract | This research aims at exploring the issue of translation and cultural difference in Arabic literature. It suggests that translation is not limited to the transference of knowledge and science but goes beyond that to openness to the different in all related cultural, civilizational, and semiotic structures. In this study, the researcher employed an analytical, critical methodology. The main findings are raising issues such as the link between translation and the migration of texts betwixt cultures and the other who is different in terms of identity and history. Discrepancy is evidence of different cultural imagination and symbolic systems. However, translation has drawbacks, as manifested in the bias of culture, language, and history, as well as the desire of the dominant culture to obliterate submissive cultures, deviating from the purposes of translation and reinforcing difference, instead of denouncing it. |
