Abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic has enforced higher education institutions across the globe to move from traditional face-to-face learning to online education. It has been proven that higher education institutions that were well prepared with respect to digital transformation in general, and e-learning in particular, had minimal difficulty in adopting online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Communication and clear expectations are extremely important in the online education, especially during a stressful time like the COVID-19 pandemic period. This paper will provide instructors with some guidelines for effective delivering online courses. The proposed framework for effective delivering online courses addresses four major dimensions including effective communication, class management tactics, course design and content, and alternative assessments for online exams. |
