Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Civil Infrastructure and Construction (CIC 2023)

Abstract

This book contains the proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Civil Infrastructure and Construction (CIC 2023), held at Qatar University in Doha, Qatar, from February 5th to 8th, 2023. Organized by Qatar University, along with the Ministry of Municipality, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), CIC2023 served as a nexus for a diverse array of participants, extending beyond academia to embrace professionals, policymakers, and visionaries. The primary aim of the CIC 2023 conference was to cultivate an environment conducive to the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and solutions at the forefront of infrastructure and construction. The themes explored within this volume show the wide spectrum of discussions that unfolded during the conference, ranging from challenges in Construction Engineering and Management to the strides made in Infrastructure Sustainability, Renovation, and Monitoring. There was also a strong emphasis on Urban Planning and Design for Society Wellbeing, as well as matters concerning Water, Environment, and Climate Change. As these conference proceedings are present, the Editorial Board of the conference does so with the aspiration that the knowledge shared within these pages will continue to inspire and guide researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in their ongoing efforts to build resilient, sustainable, and thriving societies.
