| Abstract | على مدى عقود، تطورت مهنة أمناء المتاحف (القيّمين على المتاحف) إلى عدة أدوار داخلها؛ فهي تهدف إلى تزويد الزوار بتجارب ممتعة، من خلال إشراكهم – عقليًا وجسديًا وعاطفيًا – في حوار مع القطع الأثرية. يكشف هذا الكتاب عن دور قيّمي المتاحف المعاصرة؛ من خلال جهودهم في تطوير وتنفيذ مناهج مختلفة لتفسير التراث الثقافي للدول. إلى جانب ذلك، فإن الدور الرئيس للقيّمين في تطوير أساليب التفسير يكمن في توجيه الزوار إلى آلية التصرف داخل المتاحف؛ حماية لمجموعاتها الأثرية. وقد استخدمت صالة العرض رقم (4) في متحف قطر الوطني، دراسة حالة في هذا الكتاب؛ حيث طبقت بها مجموعة متنوعة من أساليب التفسير لجذب حواس الزوار بوسائل مختلفة؛ من أجل التعرف على التراث الثقافي لدولة قطر، في محاولةٍ من المؤلف للتوصّل إلى الإجابة عن سؤال البحث الرئيس، وهو: ما الأساليب التفسيرية التي طبّقها القيّمون الفنيّون من أجل توجيه الزوّار لفهم رسالة متحف قطر الوطني في صالة العرض رقم (4) "أهل قطر"؟ ولماذا وُظفت هذه الأساليب التفسيرية؟ |

| Alternative Abstract | For over decades the curator's profession has evolved into multiple roles within museums. Aiming to provide visitors with enjoyable experiences by engaging visitors mentally, physically and emotionally in a dialogue with the artifacts. This book reveals the role of curators in contemporary museums by developing and implementing different interpretive approaches for interpreting the cultural heritage of countries. Besides, the main role of curators in developing methods of interpretation is to guide visitors on how to conduct within museums to protect its collections. Using Gallery 4 at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) in implementing a variety of interpretation methods that expose visitors’ senses to different ways of seeing Qatar’s heritage. Answering the question, what are the interpretive approaches developed by curators to guide visitors through the narrative of the National Museum of Qatar in Gallery 4 “The People of Qatar”? In addition, why have these approaches been developed? |
