| Abstract | تناولت هذه الدراسة جذور الاستغراب، وأهم المراحل والتطورات التي مر بها حتى تاريخنا المعاصر، ومحاولات تأصيل هذا التوجه من قبل عدد من الباحثين والمفكرين المعاصرين، لذلك تعد هذه الدراسة تاريخية ومعاصرة معاً لحركة الاستغراب وتطوره، حيث جمعت بين بدايات ظهور الاستغراب باعتباره مفهوماً، ثم محاولة تحوله إلى منهج علمي له تأصيلاته، قادها باحثون معاصرون، ومدى تأثيرهم في هذا الإطار على الحكومات والمجتمعات، خاصة مع ازدياد الاهتمام به من قبل العديد من الحكومات والمؤسسات العربية. وتهدف الدراسة في أحد أهم جوانبها إلى إبراز الدور التاريخي للعرب المسلمين في دراسة الآخر الغربي والاستفادة منه في إطار العلاقات وتطوير المجتمعات. لذلك تعالج الدراسة إشكالية مفهوم الاستغراب بين مرحلتيه التاريخية والمعاصرة، ومدى تطور هذه الحركة في واقعنا المعاصر، وإشكالية اعتبارها حركة معرفية مفتوحة أو تأسيس لعلم مستقل هو "علم" الاستغراب. |

| Alternative Abstract | This study dealt with the roots of Occidentalism, the most important stages and developments that it has gone through until our contemporary history, and attempts to establish this trend by a number of contemporary researchers and thinkers. Therefore, this study is considered both historical and contemporary to the science of Occidentalism and its development, as it combined the beginnings of the emergence of Occidentalism as a concept, and then the attempt to transform it. To a scientific method that has its roots, led by contemporary researchers, and the extent of their influence in this context on governments and societies, especially with the increasing interest in it by many Arab governments and institutions. In one of its most important aspects, the study aims to highlight the historical role of Muslim Arabs in studying the Western other and benefiting from it within the framework of relations and developing societies. Therefore, the study addresses the problem of the concept of Occidentalism between two stages: historical and contemporary, the extent of the development of this movement in our contemporary reality, and the problem of considering it an open cognitive movement or the establishment of an independent science, which is the “science” of Occidentalism. |
