الملخص | This paper aims to undertake a bibliometric analysis of e-government studies utilising the Scopus database. The study followed an archival review approach with data collected from the Scopus database. A mixed method was used, which harmonised quantitative vs. qualitative views. Microsoft Excel was employed to analyse the frequency, VOSviewer for data visualisation, and Harzing's publish or perish for citation metrics and analysis. The study confirmed that e-government-related publications have continuously grown since 2001. The USA was ranked top in e-government research as the most active country. Brunel University London in the UK was the most active institution in terms of publishing substantial research on e-government. 159 scholars representing 140 different nations and 160 distinct institutions participated in various multilingual e-government studies. This study pioneers an examination of e-government publications within the Scopus database of scientific publications, contributing to the understanding of trends and dynamics in the field. |
