    Abstract
Emotional intelligence (EI) is essential in health care for enhancing communication, teamwork, and patient outcomes. Person-centered care (PCC) plays a vital role in improving health care quality and patient satisfaction. This study examines the relationship between EI and PCC among Jordanian nurses. A cross-sectional quantitative study was conducted with 300 nursing professionals from various health care settings in Jordan. Data were collected with the Person-Centered Care Assessment Tool and the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale. Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were employed to assess the association between EI and PCC. A significant positive correlation was found between EI and PCC ( = 0.62, < .001), and EI emerged as a strong predictor of PCC, explaining 41% of the variance in PCC scores, independent of demographic variables. The study found that EI plays a pivotal role in enhancing PCC. Integrating EI training into nursing education and professional development can improve culturally sensitive care, nurse-patient relationships, and teamwork in health care settings. .
