AbstractThe aim of this thesis is to study the life cycle air emissions and human health impacts of the LNG transportation, by calculating the emissions from the vessels for one trip between Qatar and destination country and back to Qatar. Life Cycle Assessment has been applied as a method to study the impacts on human health due to the emissions by applying the ReCiPe model. Sensitivity analysis is also conducted to investigate the parameters that are affecting the emission results significantly. The proposed method quantifies the environmental impact of LNG transportation using different types of vessels and fuels. The results show that using the conventional vessel type with a fuel type LNG during transportation would have the minimum emission amount among all other fuels and vessels. Consequently, this would lead to having less human health impact among all other vessel and fuel types.
