Generalization of best proximity points theorem for non-self proximal contractions of first kind
Abstract
The primary objective of this paper is the study of the generalization of some results given by Basha (Numer. Funct. Anal. Optim. 31:569-576, 2010). We present a new theorem on the existence and uniqueness of best proximity points for proximal ?-quasi-contractive mappings for non-self-mappings S: M? N and T: N? M. Furthermore, as a consequence, we give a new result on the existence and uniqueness of a common fixed point of two self mappings. - 2019, The Author(s).

A best proximity point theorem for special generalized proximal ?-quasi contractive mappings
Ayari M.I.; Jaradat M.M.M.; Mustafa Z. ( Springer , 2019 , Article)In this paper, we obtain some best proximity point results for a new class of non-self mappings T: A? B called special generalized proximal ?-quasi contractive. Our result is illustrated by an example. Several consequences ... -
On existence and uniqueness of best proximity points for proximal β-quasi contractive mappings on metric spaces
Ayari, M. Iadh; Jatradat, M. M.M.; Mustafa, Z. ( Forum-Editrice Universitaria Udinese SRL , 2021 , Article)This paper focus on the study of the generalization of the best proximity point theorems for non-self contractions. In fact we propose two new theorems on the existence and the uniqueness of best proximity points for ... -
Entropy-Like Minimization Methods Based on Modified Proximal Point Algorithm
Hamdi, A.; Bnouhachem, A. ( University of Toronto Press Inc. , 2014 , Article)In this paper we introduce an extension of the proximal point algorithm proposed by Guler for solving convex minimization problems. This extension is obtained by substituting the usual quadratic proximal term by a class ...
