AbstractAs we witness the pandemic of COVID-19, we are also observing a rising trend that is becoming a scholarly pandemic. It is the pandemic of overstating the current moment of COVID-19 as a cause of global transformations. It is more cliché than reality to portray COVID-19 as a history-defining moment. It is rather more accurate to say that COVID-19 is the first event in a series of changes. In addition to human beings, many ‘matters’ can be considered victims of COVID-19, especially on the political level. Perhaps we can call the political consequences that occur as a reaction to COVID-19 ‘the political side-effects’ of COVID-19.
