    Abstract
In the State of Qatar, nationals or Qataris comprise less than 15% of the overall population. According to the Qatar Population Policy of 2017-2022, the main objectives include, increasing the number of local population, supporting the transformation from “resource based” to “knowledge based” economy, reducing the recruitment of foreign labor, and achieving a balanced distribution of workers by nationalities and professions. To help achieve these objectives, Qatarization policy is being followed at the national level by various organizations in Qatar, including Qatar Olympic Committee. To implement this policy, Qatar Olympic Committee has undertaken a number of initiatives. This case study starts by introducing Qatar Olympic Committee, its vision and mission. Next, it presents a snapshot of the major milestones achieved by Qatar Olympic Committee followed by explaining the strategy used to achieve its goals. The case moves on to provide details on the various initiatives undertaken towards Qatarization and then discuss implementation challenges of Qatarization.
