AbstractAbstract: The growth of web 2.0 tools is increasingly influencing higher education. Educators debate the effectiveness of social media tools in educational environment. Some empirical studies reported positive evidences using tools like Blogs in informal learning for students. Such research concentrates on blogging for enhancing active learning, students’ self-regulated learning, and social knowledge building. This paper reviewed the related literature to investigate the use of Blogging in e-learning practices as an educational tool and discussed the limitations and challenges of such use. The case of Jordan is explored using two data analysis websites and generated data related to practices within the Jordanian environment.
