| Abstract | يتناول هذا البحث نشأة علم الأديان في الفكر الإسلامي، ويقارب موضوعه مقاربة مفاهيمية تاريخية، من أجل الكشف عن المبادئ والطرائق التي قام عليها هذا العلم. ولتحقيق ذلك، فإنه تم تناول الموضوع من زاويتين منهجيتين متكاملتين؛ أولاهما التتبع التاريخي للجذور الأولى لنشأة هذه المبادئ والطرائق في صلته بالسياق الثقافي والحضاري للمجتمع المسلم، وثانيهما تحليل لأهم القواعد المنهجية التي أسست لمناهج هذا العلم، واعطته صبغته في درس الظاهرة الدينية. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن هذا العلم في تشكله التاريخي، قام على مبادئ؛ التوحيد، وعالمية الاخلاق، والتكامل والتداخل للمعارف والعلوم، وتقييم الظاهرة الدينية، كما أنه تبنى طرائق ومناهج مختلفة لدرس الظاهرة الدينية تمثلت في؛ نهج الوصف والحكاية، والترجمة، والمشاهدة، ومطالعة الكتب الدينية المترجمة للعربية، والرحلات، والنقل عمن سبقهم في دراسة الأديان، والمناظرة. |

| Alternative Abstract | This research focused on the early beginnings of the study of other religions in Islamic thought. We employed an historical and conceptual approach in order to discover the foundational principles and methods of this new science, more to the point in our analysis of the subject matter; we looked into it from two separate yet integrated perspectives. First, we carried a detailed historical investigation on the roots of these methods and their relation to the cultural and civilizational context of Muslim society. Second, we made a thorough analysis of the most important methodic principles that underpinned the study of religious phenomenon in Islamic thought. The research concluded that this new science, in its historical formation, mainly based on the principles of Tawḥīd (oneness of God), universality of ethics and integration of different methods in the process of evaluating the religious phenomenon. Furthermore, it followed different techniques and methods in the study of religious phenomenon such as description, narration, and translation of scriptures, personal observations, travels and others. |
