This is the first atlas book for Qatar, which contains information and maps about surface and sub-surface geology, aquifers, and the hydrodynamic changes in underground water storage overtime. When exploring the paleoclimate, atlas book put more emphasis in particular on the Holocene epoch, as it played a very important role in the climate changes and sea level fluctuations around Qatar over the last 10,000 years. It is a valuable book for researchers, students and anyone who is interested to know about the country’s geology, water resources, Holocene climate, and the relation between human settlement and nature. The readers can travel in time to explore the relation between climate, sea level and human settlements’ distribution in the country. This covers the time period of the last 10,000 years until the present.
