    Abstract
    Method and background: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study done in Gadarif Teaching Hospital Medicine Department to evaluate the prevalence rate of hepatitis in period of 2020-2022. The hospital receives cases from all city localities. The data collected by means of the questionnaire, which involved 111 patients by systematic random sampling and were analyzed using statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) and analysis, manually and by computerized selection.9 Results: The most common affected age group was between the ages of 35 and 45 years. The main risk factors of hepatitis diseases are no risk factor, followed by alcohol, immunocompromised and intravenous drug abuse. Conclusion: More numbers of cases were complicated and the main complication was liver cirrhosis. It was showed by the study that the majority of patients were discharged with complication
