الملخصThis work introduces an inventive method to produce green hydrogen using a Hybrid Solar Chimney Power Plant (HSCPP). The HSCPP is composed of a base, a glass collector, a seawater pool, a chimney, a hydrogen cell (electrolyzer), an oxygen tank, a hydrogen tank, water sprinklers, and a bi-directional turbine. The HSCPP operates during the day because heated air inside the collector travels up towards the chimney and exchanges energy with the turbine located at the bottom of the chimney. The addition of water sprinklers allowed the HSCPP to operate at night because of cool air traveling from the top of the chimney to the collector, resulting in 24-hour electricity production. The electricity produced is used to power the electrolysis station that is fed from a seawater pool to produce hydrogen and oxygen day and night. The fourth product of the HSCPP is the condensated water that is collected through gutters from the chimney's inner walls. Simulation has shown that the HSCPP can produce 633 MWh of electrical energy, 21,653 kg of hydrogen, 173,244 kg of oxygen, and 190,863 tons of distilled water. The results have shown that the HSCPP is a feasible method for green hydrogen production.
