AbstractThis work presents a revolutionary design of a solar chimney power plant integrated with a water desalination plant with a target of continuous production of gray hydrogen gas. The design combines a classic Solar Chimney Power Plant (SCPP) and a water distillation facility. The main results demonstrate that 200 °C air flowing into the collector increases the electrical energy generation by 49 times. And that the SCPP produces 8.6x more distilled water at 150 °C, and 11.7x more water at 150°C. The results showed that the SCPP can produce 2039.89 kg of gray hydrogen in 24 hours. Future work could focus on investigating the detailed design of the electrolysis station, and practical consideration of the turbine limits ofperformance.
