| Abstract | يُعدُّ ابن تيميّة (ت:728هـ) رحمه الله أبرز من حمل النصوص المتشابهة على ظواهرها مع نفي أن تكون مماثلة لصفات المخلوقين، وأسَّس لها ودافع عنها تحت مسمّى الصفات الخبرية، مع نفي المشابهة، ومن هذا المنطلق ونظرا لأهمية العقيدة جاءت إشكالية الدِّراسة المتمثلة بتجاذب فهم السلف من قِبل ابن تيمية وغيره؟ فكيف فهِم كلامهم؟ وما ملامح هذا المنهج؟ وللإجابة عما سبق سلكت المنهج الوصفي والمنهجي النقدي، والقصد من الدِّراسة تبيان ملامح هذا المنهج خدمةً للدراسات العقدية، وكشفا عن تعامله مع منهج السّلف الذي يُكثر من ذكره، ولعل أبرز ملامح المنهج الذي توصلت إليه الدراسة هو التعميم والمبالغة في النقول عن السابقين، وجعْل المسكوت عليه منطوقا، وأوصت الدِّراسة بالبحث عن منهجه في اللغة وكيفية استثمارها |

| Alternative Abstract | Ibn Taymiyya is famous for his literal understanding of Islamic scriptural texts with anthropomorphic implications. He understood these texts as talking about divine scriptural attributes “ṣifāt khabariyya”. Both Ibn Taymiyya and his opponents, who defend various metaphorical understandings of these divine attributes, invoke the attitudes of many early Muslim authorities, “salaf”. This study revisits Ibn Taymiyya’s reading of the “salaf” quotations and attitudes in order to define his method of reading and interpreting them. This article argues that Ibn Taymiyya based his opinions mostly on overstated generalizations and unfounded quotations. It is also familiar to Ibn Taymiyya that he fills the silence of early scholars with his own interpretation. This study recommends revisiting Ibn Taymiyya’s linguistic method and how he exploits it to support his viewpoint. |
