| Abstract | تشهد السياحة الثقافية نموًا متسارعًا مع زيادة الرغبة في استكشاف الماضي، وتبرز المتاحف بوصفها وجهات رئيسة للسياح المهتمين بهذا النوع من السياحة. وقد حظي قطاع المتاحف في المملكة العربية السعودية باهتمام متزايد في السنوات الأخيرة؛ نظرًا لدوره البارز في تحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والثقافية وتعزيز استراتيجيات الترويج السياحي. ومع ذلك، لا يزال إسهام المتاحف في تحسين تجربة السياحة الثقافية بالمملكة بحاجة إلى دراسة شاملة. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل دور المتحف الوطني السعودي - الذي افتتح عام 1999- في تعزيز السياحة الثقافية، وذلك من خلال استكشاف تصورات الزوار المحليين وتقييم انطباعاتهم حول هذا الدور. كما تناقش الدراسة التحديات التي يواجهها قطاع المتاحف في المملكة، وتقدم اقتراحات لتحسين أدائه. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الكمي باستخدام استبيان تم توزيعه على عينة عشوائية مكونة من 240 زائرًا محليًا للمتحف الوطني. تضمّن الاستبيان عدة محاور، منها تقييم تجربة الزوار الشخصية، ومدى تأثير المتحف في تعزيز المعرفة التاريخية والثقافية، بالإضافة إلى دوره في جذب الزوار وتوفير تجارب تعليمية وترفيهية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن المتحف الوطني يؤدي دورًا مهمًا في دعم السياحة الثقافية من خلال تعزيز الوعي الثقافي وتقديم تجارب تعليمية متميزة. ومع ذلك، تم تحديد مجموعة من التحديات التي تحد من الاستفادة الكاملة من إمكانيات المتحف، مثل: ضعف جهود التسويق، وصعوبة الوصول إلى الموقع، وغياب الأنشطة التفاعلية. وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة تحسين تجربة الزوار من خلال تبني تقنيات عرض حديثة، وتطوير المحتوى الإرشادي، وزيادة حملات الترويج للمتحف، وتحسين المرافق والخدمات اللوجستية، بما يسهم في تعزيز دور المتحف كوجهة سياحية ثقافية رائدة. |

| Alternative Abstract | Cultural tourism is witnessing rapid growth as there is an increasing interest in exploring the past, with museums emerging as key destinations for tourists interested in this type of tourism. In recent years, the museum sector in Saudi Arabia has attracted significant attention due to its pivotal role in promoting economic and cultural development, as well as enhancing tourism marketing strategies. However, the contribution of museums to improving the cultural tourism experience in the Kingdom still requires in-depth investigation. This study aims to examine the role of the Saudi National Museum, which opened in 1999, in promoting cultural tourism by exploring the perceptions and impressions of local visitors regarding this role. The study also discusses the challenges facing the museum sector in the Kingdom and offers recommendations for improving its effectiveness. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey distributed to a random sample of 240 local visitors to the National Museum. The survey covered various aspects, including visitors' personal experiences, the museum's impact on enhancing historical and cultural knowledge, and its role in attracting visitors and providing both educational and recreational experiences. The research results of the statistical analysis indicate that the Saudi National Museum essential in supporting cultural tourism by raising cultural awareness and offering distinguished educational experiences. However, several challenges were identified that hinder the full utilization of the museum's potential, such as inadequate marketing efforts, accessibility issues, and a lack of interactive activities. The study recommends improving the visitor experience by adopting modern display technologies, developing interpretive content, enhancing promotional efforts for the museum, and upgrading facilities and logistical services, thereby strengthening the museum's position as a leading cultural tourism destination. |
