| Abstract | هدفت هذه الدراسة لمعرفة اتجاه أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية نحو إنشاء قسم لتعليم الكبار في الكلية. وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من خمسين عضو هيئة تدريس بالكلية. وأوضحت النتائج موافقة أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية على إنشاء قسم لتعليم الكبار في الكلية، حيث رأى أفراد عينة الدراسة أن إنشاء قسم لتعليم الكبار سيؤدي إلى تطوير تعليم الكبار بما يساير الاتجاهات العالمية الحديثة، كما سيؤدي إلى تطوير برامج الدراسات العليا في تخصص تعليم الكبار، وأن إنشاء قسم تعليم الكبار سيطور إدارة برامج تعليم الكبار والتعليم المستمر بطريقة علمية. وتبين من نتائج الدراسة أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مدى موافقة أعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية على إنشاء قسم لتعليم الكبار باختلاف المرتبة العلمية وسنوات الخبرة والجنسية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية وقد أوصت الدراسة بإنشاء قسم لتعليم الكبار في كلية التربية بجامعة الملك سعود وتضمين مقررات التخصص الاتجاهات المعاصرة في تعليم الكبار وتطوير برامج الدراسات العليا بالقسم. |

| Alternative Abstract | The purpose of the this study was to know the attitudes of the college of education faculty members toward establishing adult Education department at the college. The sample of the study consisted of fifty faculty members. The result of the study showed that the faculty members agreed to a great extent on establishing adult education department at the college. They agree that establishing the department will develop adult education movement according to current trends, develop higher studies programs in adult Education, and will develop the administration of adult Education programs. The result of the study also showed that there are no significant differences between faculty members toward establishing the department according to their scientific rank, years of experience, and Nationality. The study recommended establishing adult education department at the college of education, teaching current adult education trends, and developing higher studies programs in adult education. |
