AbstractThis paper discusses two different approaches to assess exposure to indoor WiFi access points at two different frequency bands: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The first analyzes the electromagnetic propagation in almost empty environments by applying advanced simulation tools. The second is based on measurements performed in real scenarios. All measurements are compared to simulations. Results show good agreement and open the door to a possible exploitation of quasi-heuristic methods for the characterization of complex environments
