| Abstract | يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة دور الإسلام في تكوين صورة إيجابية عن دولة قطر، من خلال دراسة العلاقة بين الإسلام – كدين – والقوة الناعمة، والمجالات التي يمكن للإسلام أن يؤدي دوره فيها، والنظرة الإسلامية للرياضة والترفيه، وسبُل تجاوز التحديات التي قد تواجهها الدولة في مدة استضافة كأس العالم من المنظور الإسلامي. بالإضافة إلى فرصة دولة قطر في تصحيح الصورة الخاطئة عن الإسلام لدى كثير ممن يحضرون فعالياتِ كأس العالم 2022. وقد اعتمد البحث على عدة مناهج علمية، كالمنهج الاستقرائي ومنهج تحليل المحتوى. وتوصَّل إلى نتائج مهمة، منها: إن الإسلام له نظرة إيجابية عن الرياضة والترفيه بضوابطهما الشرعية، وأن هناك علاقة وطيدة بين الإسلام والقوة الناعمة، بحيث يمكنه أن يؤدي دورًا مهمًا في تكوين صورة إيجابية عن دولة قطر، كما يمكن للإسلام أن يحلّ الكثير من التحديات التي قد تواجهها الدولة أثناء تنظيم هذا الحدث العالمي، وأن هذا الحدث يُعدّ فرصة مهمة لدولة قطر في تصحيح الصورة الخاطئة عن الإسلام والمسلمين لدى كثيرين ممن يحضرون هذه الفعالية. |

| Alternative Abstract | The article aims to study the role of Islam as a soft power in building a positive image for the State of Qatar. Islam as the state religion and Qatar being an Arab and Muslim majority nation, we are looking for prospective fields where Islam may play a significant role in the sports and entertainment arena from an Islamic perspective. We will also try to realize the Islamic role to solve any problem during the World Cup 2022. In addition to studying Qatar’s possible role in fighting Islamophobia by presenting the actual image of Islam to the guests and audiences of the World Cup football events, from variance cultures, religions, and ethnicities across the world, who may or may not have a positive outlook towards Islam. The article relies on several scientific methods, such as analytical method and conductive method, and concluded that Islam could play a very resilient role in well organizing and showcasing an elegant international event with artistic mastery for the world to enjoy and remember, such as the FIFA football World Cup 2022 in Qatar. |
