الملخص | The study uses Time-Driven Activity-Based costing (TDABC) approach to examine healthcare costs. Three multivariable regression models have been proposed to predict the cost of healthcare: multiple linear regression, Ridge regression, and Lasso regression. The models are based on TDABC. These models are used to analyze healthcare costs in Knee Arthroplasty Department in a hospital in Qatar. The study focuses on the primary knee arthroplasty consultation process by considering the human resource. The results show that the lasso regression method is more accurate and predicts better costs than other methods. The actual cost obtained from the data is $180,048, and the model predicted it to be $175,932. The model is statistically significant for use, and its results are validated with different samples of costing used by the hospital. |
