Abstract | The enhancement of yield of solar still (SS) is viewed as very significant due to the production of the potable water. It is also considered as uncomplicated device for desalination. There is also no need for professional work and technology. Higher water temperatures are an important task to increase the solar production even further; therefore many researchers have used solar collectors. The parabolic trough collector is an advanced technology that can still provide solar high-temperature water to increase the yield. This review paper illustrates the results of research done by various researchers on parabolic trough (PTC) collector. At the end of the paper, the future work of the PTCC with the SS discussed. From this study, it has been concluded that the PTC is an important solar collector to improve yield in a desalination system and has a promising future |
