| Abstract | سعت الدراسة إلى التعريف برؤية بديع الزمان النورسي للتحضر بأبعاده وخصائصه الإنسانية والاجتماعية وارتباط فلسفته الحضارية بالفكرة الدينية وإصلاح الذات والاعتبار لمبادئ الإسلام في تنظيم شؤون الحياة وتحقيق العدالة والحرية. وقد تتبعت الدراسة المنهج التحليلي من خلال بسط مفاهيم التحضر من مؤلفات النورسي وتفكيك عناصره الأساسية للتعمق فيها ومقاربة بعضها ببعض تمهيدا لرصد الرؤية الشاملة للتحضر عنده. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج أهمها أن حالة التخلف العامة لا ترجع في عمومها إلى العامل الاستعماري وحده، بل إلى تشوه الذات المسلمة من خلال انسحاب العناصر الروحية فيها، وأن البدائل لهذه الحالة تكمن في استعادة دور التوحيد الإسلامي وتحقيق مبادئ الحرية والعدالة |

| Alternative Abstract | This study examines the concept of urban life and its social characteristics in the thought of Badīᶜ al-Zamān al-Nawrasī with a special focus on the connection of his philosophy of urbanization to the question of religion and self-restoration and the role of the Islamic principles in organizing life matters and attainting justice and freedom. Through the analytical approach, this study seeks to present Badīᶜ al-Zamān's concept of urban life in simplified terms and deconstruct its key components. It delves deeply into them and reads then against one another to establish a comprehensive view of his perspective on urban life. The main conclusion of this study is that Muslims' current state of underdevelopment is not a result of colonization alone. Rather, it is also the result of a disfigurement of in the Muslim self and the fact that it has been emptied of the spiritual element. Therefore, the alternative lies in reinstating the role of Islamic monotheism and fulfilling the principles of freedom and justice |
