| Abstract | تطرح هذه الرسالة مدى كفاية نصوص التأمين التقليدية الوطنية لتأمين المركبات ذاتية القيادة ، حيث انتشرت المركبات ذاتية القيادة في العديد من الدول كالنار في الهشيم، وذلك بسبب العديد من المزايا التي توفرها المركبات ذاتية القيادة، وعلى اعتبار أن هذه التكنولوجيا مستجدة، فقد تحرينا في هذه الرسالة عن الأبعاد التأمينية والتحديات القانونية التي تواجه القواعد التقليدية للتأمين، ومناقشتها مع الطبيعة الخاصة للمركبات ذاتية القيادة، ولجأنا إلى العديد من القوانين المقارنة في هذه الرسالة، منها قانون ولاية نيفادا، والقانون البريطاني وغيرها من القوانين المتعلقة بذات المسألة، وأخيرا ، انتهيت بحزمة من النتائج، ومنها عدم كفاية القانون القطري وعدم جاهزية سوق التأمين القطري لاستقطاب هذا النوع الخاص من المركبات. |

| Alternative Abstract | This thesis explores the adequacy of the traditional legal rules that regulate insurance to insure self-driving vehicles, as they have exponentially spread in several countries. This increase is due to the numerous advantages these vehicles present and the novelty of their technology. The thesis sets out to investigate insurance measures and the legal challenges that traditional insurance rules are facing. This dissertation also discusses these questions considering the specificity of self-driving vehicles. Many comparative laws are used in this study including the Nevada state law, the British law, and other laws related to the same issue. Finally, some important results are reached to, including the inadequacy of Qatari laws and the unpreparedness of the Qatari insurance market to accommodate this special type of vehicles. |
