AbstractPolymer nanocomposite (PNC) owing to their light weight and chemically resistive nature gains popularity and finds applications in a variety of industries. PNC can be designed with customized properties as per the requirements. The composites can be fabricated with varying electric properties such as high or low dielectric constant, high dielectric strength, high or low thermal conductivity, mechanical flexibility, controlled porosity, etc. Due to such tunability in properties, easy processibility, chemical resistivity, light weight, and durability, researchers in the fields of optoelectronics and electronics gain an interest in the field of PNC. This chapter discusses the electronic and optoelectronic applications with materials and methods used for each application. It also emphasizes on important design parameters to be taken into account while fabricating the polymer nanocoating films and coatings.
