Resilience Framework for Applying Virtual Processes for Accreditation in Higher Education to Address a Disruptive Situation
Abstract
This paper presents a resilience framework for implementing academic accreditation activities in higher education, with a focus on lessons learned from unexpected situations. It explores how the pandemic challenged academic programs, particularly in engineering, and examines how accreditation processes can adapt to ensure continuity and support student outcomes during unforeseen challenges. The study identifies key lessons from utilizing digital platforms, and offers recommendations for integrating digital platforms into future accreditation practices. The framework guides institutions and accrediting bodies to strengthen resilience and ensure the sustainability and compliance of accreditation processes during unforeseen challenges.
