Educational Performance of Students In A New College Of Engineering: A Computer-Aided Study
Abstract
A data-base computer package is herein developed to provide an effective tool lor llie studv. evaluation and rectification of tile academic performance of university students. As a test case, the newly established Faculty of Engineering at Qatar University in (lie Arabian dull is herein dealt with. Relevant results indicate that tile school lias eslahlised itself, that (lie educational components meet the needs and that tlie evaluation system used proved to he quite reliable. It is herein concluded lliat the developed package can he adapted to am educational system and that llie benefits for students and Faculty deserve serious consideration for institutions elsewhere.
