| الملخص | اهتم البحث باختبار ميداني للافتراضات التي تطرحها الحوارات المثارة حول قدرة نظم التعليم التقليدية على مواكبة متطلبات المستقبل مقارنة بنظم التعليم المتزامن (عن بعد) والتعليم غير المتزامن (بالإنترنت). وقد أظهرت نتائج البحث قدرة التعليم غير المتزامن على تحقيق المرونة المكانية والزمانية وفى الكلفة وفئة العمر وكذلك المرونة المنهجية والتربوية في التعليم وهي ما تفتقده نظم التعليم الأخرى. |

| الملخص البديل | This research concentrates on a field test of the hypotheses that are being laid down by the discussions on the ability of the traditional educational systems to cope with the demands of the future, in comparison with synchronous (distance) education and asynchronous (Internet) education. The results of this research show the ability of asynchronous education in realizing flexibility with regard to place, time, cost, and age group. The results also demonstrate the ability of asynchronous education with regard to providing flexibility in curriculum and pedagogy, which are missing in other educational systems. |
