dc.description.abstract The reaction of the biologically active complexes, chloro-2-acetylpyridinehyd-razinecarbothiopiperidinamide metal (II) and chloro-2-acetylpyridinecar-bothiomorpholinamide metal (11),^, (M=Ni (II), Cu (II), Zn (II) and Pd (II)) with S-methylhydrazinecarbodithioate Schiff bases, 1J (Ri=R,=CH3; Ri=H, R:;=Ph) have been studied. A series of mixed-ligand metal (II) complexes, III, were isolated and characterized using elemental analysis, infrared, ultra-violet-visible, 'Hnmr and esr spectra. The spectral results of the mixed-ligand complexes. III, are compared with those of the reactants I and II and used to provide evidence concerning the coordination geometry of the central metal in these complexes. en_US
