    Abstract
This paper discusses the mixed convection three-dimensional boundary layer flow of upper-convected Maxwell fluid over a stretching surface with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model. Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) combined with Heat generation/absorption effects and heat flux conditions are also taken into account. Fluid is electrically conducting in the presence of a constant applied magnetic field. The induced magnetic field is neglected for a small magnetic Reynolds number. The governing problems are first demonstrated and then explained by optimal homotopy analysis method (OHAM). The variations of numerous important parameters on the velocities and temperature fields are investigated by the arrangement of graphs and tables. Some known results have been pointed out as the specific cases of the present study. 1 2017 The Physical Society of the Republic of China (Taiwan)
