Abstract‏ يتناول هذا البحث المرأة في حياة أب تمام وفنه ومن خلال دراسة ديوان الشاعر تبين ‏لنا أن المرأة تحتل مكانا بارزا فيه وأنها تظهر بصور متعددة فهناك الحبيبة التي تعذله على كثرة سفرة وتعرضه للمهالك والحديث عنها هو في الغالب باب للحديث عن الذات. والفخر بما حققته من مكاسب . وتبدو ثنائية الطموح والمرأة التي تلح على الشاعر دائما في صورتين : فهناك صورة المرأة العاذلة التي يرفض أبو تمام الإذعان لرغبتها لأنها ستؤدي إلى حياة الدعة و الخمول ، وهناك المرأة الدفاعة إلى معالي الأمور والتي يبارك صوتها ويكبر بالممدوح سماعه له واستجابته لندائه

Alternative AbstractThis paper deals with the role of women in the life of Abu Tammam. Women figure prominantly in his poetry. There is the loved one who keeps asking him to cut down on his travels so as not to risk his life. There is also the strongWilled woman h€ resists. Finally there is the woman who encourages him to achieve more. In ab~ Tammam poetry one may Je'el that the paet lived somewhat a hapless life with many love stories cut short. He did not hesitate to attack the honor of his enemies. At the same time he was capable of creating a romantic love story depicting two singing birds. This may be seen as an expression of being deprived of such intimacy. . Abu Tammam broke away from the old standards of a woman's beauty. He emphasized the redness of faces and cheeks which he likened to roses and aPples. · Woman appears in his poetry as a symbol of peace and war He elevated her position to a virgin poem with a high dowry. The poem itself is likened to a necklace on a beautiful woman's neck. In short, while abu Tammam was not tied to one woman in ponticular he was never away from a certain woman whom he courted at home or away, at war or at peace, in anger or in approval looking down at her one time and up another.
