Many Arabic literary works has sometimes been away from critical treatment which might deserve. That is mostly because of the incapability of some kinds and types of the current criticism in the Arab world. This mentioned current criticism in specific is the topic of this paper as seen through Phenomena and types in the criticism of fiction in Sultanate of Oman, especially after the early nineties.
The paper notices here that while some of those Phenomena and types of the criticism of Omani literature are seen in the practical Arabic criticism in general, some others are seen only in this one.
In terms of phenomena, the paper observes four of them in the Omani criticism. But naturally, our chief pause is on the types of this criticism, and according to our opinion there are five of them of which the important ones are the nasalizing criticism and the impressionistic one.
Among the critics whose criticisms were studied in this paper are Ibrahim al-Fayyoomi, Ahmad al- Toraysi, and Shareefa al-Yahya'i. |
