The study aimed to investigation the role of school headmasters in schools in enhancing the effectiveness of parent-teacher associations from the point of view of teachers (male
and females) who council in such meetings.
The sample of the study consists of 125 males and female teacher . for the purpose of the study , a questionnaire consists of
33 reliable and valid items was designed-It was shown , through the use of mean-, deviation and T-test that the medians to the role of headmasters in enhancing the effectiveness of parent-teacher associations for the four variations is (3.74) . moreover , the items that concern with putting basic information for the purpose of providing parents with continuous and clear information along with interaction and cooperation elicited the highest medians .
Items that related to the role of schools in supporting local community and the importance of parents participation in
developing teacher-parent meetings process elicited
(3.55)and(3.61) respectively.
It was also shown that there was no statistically significant differences due to sex and experience (a = 0.05) concerning the
point of view of teachers.
On the basis of findings the researchers recommends to the participation of parents in putting the annual plan for holding
meetings . |
