Abstract: The research aims at: - building a counseling programme by suing educational games to develop self— concept among kindergarten pupils. - Measuring the effect or this programme on the development ( self-concept among kindergarten pupils, The research was restricted to five-year old kindergarten pupils in Diyala Governorate, Republic of Iraq during the academic year 1999-2000, The research sample consisted of 60 pupils distributed random! in two fifty-fifty groups. In the research, the self-concept seal prepared for the Arabic environment (Sa'diya Bahadir, 198? was used- was modified by the researcher for the Iraqi environment. As for the counseling programme, it was built, by using the proper educational games suitable for the above-mentioned age group. The study revealed statistically meaningful differences at 05% in favor of the experimental group in the self - concept scale, ..
