Education and instruction have become the primary objective of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Colleges of education and teacher-training institutes have consequently gained due consideration from the responsible authorities at all levels. The practice teaching during which students are attached to schools gives the students the opportunity to implement in a real practical context the knowledge they receive in the Education and Psychology courses.
There is division of opinion about the importance of Education, Psychology and Practice Teaching. The researcher has, therefore, in light of previous research put forward four hypotheses about their importance. The four hypotheses were statistically tested. The Teacher Vocational Situation Scale was the statistical instrument used. Thirty male and 43 female students from King Faisal University College of Education were the tested sample. They formed 41% of the practice teachers for 1413 H. The study suggests the following:
(1) There is no significant difference between the male and female
practice teachers vocational situation.
(2) There is no significant positive correlation between the scores in
Education, Psychology and Practice Teaching and the MALE practice teachers vocational situation.
(3) There is no significant positive correlation between the scores in
Education, Psychology and Practice teaching and the FEMALE practice teachers vocational situation. |
