Abstract | Different control strategies have been recently proposed. In this paper, two control techniques are compared in a five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor drive (PMSM). The strategies being compared are based on the vector control and sliding mode control. The sliding mode controller is designed with an integral switching surface. Obtained results show a close conformity with the developed background. Compared to vector control, sliding mode technique provides superior performances and faster control response. ? 2018 IEEE. |
