Abstract | This work proposes a method to optimize the resource block allocation in the cloud radio access network for a long term evolution system. This approach consists in three steps. First, the baseband unit collects the required information about users. Then, it optimizes the resource block allocation by carrying out a genetic algorithm. After that, it sends the solution to the remote heads. The simulations results show that the performance of the proposed system is significantly higher with respect to universal frequency reuse. 2016 IEEE. |
