Abstract | The eccentric magnetic harmonic gear (EMHG) can achieve large torque transmission, high efficiency with high gear ratios. Exact analytical model is proposed to calculate the air gap magnetic field. The analytical method is based on the hyperbolic cotangent transformation method, which is accurate in theory. The eccentric air gap magnetic field solutions can be obtained by the relative permeance function derived from the effect of rotor eccentricity. The genetic algorithm based on the proposed analytical method is used to optimize and design the EMHG. The analytical results are in good agreement with Ansoft finite element (FE) method results, which verifies the correctness and validity of the proposed analytical model. |
