الملخص | Distance relay is one of the most widely used relays for transmission lines protection. In most power system studies, the appropriate modeling of distance relay is required. In this paper, the modeling of digital distance relay is provided by an important software: EMTPWorks. A typical power system has been considered to investigate the performance of Model. Various operating modes and different faults in different parts of transmission line have been applied. To validate the accuracy of proposed model the results achieved from EMTPWorks are compared with MATLAB. This paper also shows how to model the protective zones and trip characteristics. |
